It is a good all around string, especially for the middle age player who can't handle the stiff poly strings any longer due to arm problems. I plan to restring one racquet every month so I will always have a fresh one. Buy a reel for 49 bucks and you can string sixteen racquets. Some fraying but not in the areas where I use stringalings. I have three racquets and rotate one each set and the string keeps getting sweeter after two months. After a little experimentation up and down the spectrum, I arrived at the perfect combination, at least for my Asics 109 (and larger) which is 52 lbs in the mains, 54 lbs in the crosses and stringalings in the sweet spot. My buddy said to try Forten sweet sixteen and string it a little looser and I would get a good gut feel with good cupping and pop. The feel was all wrong and very little positive cupping. Switched from a Fischer 105 to a Asics 109 teardrop and went through about 20 different strings, primarily polys and guts looking for the right hybrid combination with little success. I'm using synthetic strings to keep playing until I heal and hopefully go back to a poly hybrid.Ĭomments: I am a string junkie.
If you have arm problems, it might be a good idea to try this string.

These tennis strings have great playability and make playing tennis so much fun. This sweet 16 and sweet 17 strings are in my opinion one of the best synthetic gut strings in the market. Works great as a hybrid string setup with polyester.
